Aimee Sy is a Filipino Visual Artist and Art director. Her sculptural style uses light as a medium to celebrate themes of memory and decay. In 2022, ‘Heavy light’ was selected to be a part of a lamp show called ‘ON’ curated by Head Hi at Ace Hotel, New York. Her series called ‘Meminisse, In Case I Forget You’ was shown at Depot at the end of 2023 in a group show called “State of Wander” in Brooklyn, New York. This March, she attended an artist residency at Casa Lü in Mexico City where she focused on a series called ‘Casa Lanterns’ and featured 13 lamps for the residency's group show called ‘Inician Días Violetas.’ She exhibited 4 pieces at Zarolat‘s Foliage Exhibition for Fall 2024. Most recently, ‘Blue in italy’ WAS EXHIBITED AT SALON ART + DESIGN AS PART OF “11” CURATED BY ZAROLOT.
