Aimee Sy is a Filipino Visual Artist and Art director. Her sculptural style uses light as a medium to celebrate themes of memory and decay. In 2022, ‘Heavy light’ was selected to be a part of a lamp show called ‘ON’ curated by Head Hi at Ace Hotel, New York. Her series called ‘Meminisse, In Case I Forget You’ weaves through the passage of time forming a collection of fabricated memories of past lives, past selves, and relationships. This series was shown at Depot in a group show called “State of Wander” in Brooklyn, New York. This year, she attended an artist residency at Casa Lü in Mexico City. She focused on a series called ‘Casa Lanterns’ and featured 13 lamps for the residency's group show called ‘Inician Días Violetas.’
